Events for kids

Comprising four sessions over the two-day BankSA Feast for the SensesKids in the Kitchen presented by San Remo, will teach young people the principles that underpin good food and nutrition.

A free event open to children aged 8 to 12, sessions educate kids on various food cultures and focus on simple and delicious food preparation.

Sessions are led by some of the biggest names at the festival, including George Calombaris, Guy Grossi, Matt Preston, Paul Mercurio, Pete Evans, Anna Gare, Matt StoneSimon Bryant and Maggie Beer. Sammy and Bella Jakubiak, from My Kitchen Rules fame, will MC the event that involves participants enjoying the fruits of their labours with their mentors.

Feast from the Garden: A Self Guided Trail is a free event which will take young and old alike on a fascinating adventure to discover the edible delights of the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

See and smell the delights of cinnamon, tea, quince and pomegranate as you wander with the family through gardens blooming with plants from Persia, Greece, Africa, South America and Australia.
