Lauraine Jacobs

Lauraine Jacobs is Food Editor of New Zealand's Cuisine magazine, a former President of IACP, a member of the NZ Government Food and Beverage Taskforce 2006/2007 and a food and wine ambassador for NZ Trade & Enterprise. Well respected world-wide for her knowledge of food, wine and restaurant trends she has extensive knowledge of NZ wine regions through her writing for Cuisine's annual Wine Country.

She is the author of several cookbooks including the internationally awarded winning 'Baker' and 'Taste - The Flavours of Baking', co-authored with Dean Brettschneider, both of which won gold Ladles at the World Food Media Awards. Her latest book, 'The Confident Cook' (Random House 2006) a collection of her best recipes was reprinted four weeks after release in November.

Lauraine, resides in Auckland, New Zealand, and is passionate about her leisure pursuits, wine and golf.
