Peter Howard is recognised as one of Australia's leading food and wine commentators, having been a food and wine journalist for 28 years and 42 years in the Hospitality Industry. During his media years he has written for a wide range of magazines and he appeared on the Nine Television Network for 16 years during which time he was Food and Wine Editor for the Today Show for 14 years. Earlier this year Peter joined 'Fresh' as a weekly contributor and regularly speaks on radio. He spent more than eight years teaching at the prestigious Ryde Food School in Sydney, has run four restaurants, two catering companies and has written 13 cookbooks and two professional textbooks. He won an award at the 2006 Vittoria Food Media Awards. Peter has been the Chairman of this competition since its inception in 1997. |
