Richard Fox

Richard Fox has 25 years' experience in the bar and catering industry.  After studying catering at college, he became one of the youngest free-trade licensees in the country at the age of 23.  Anticipating changing trends with the introduction of all day licensing hours, he opened the north of England's first Café Bar.  It became one of the most successful bars in Yorkshire and is still going strong today.

After ten years at the helm, as well as another restaurant and bar venture, Richard sold up and moved to London to pursue his real passion for cooking.  He established a successful event catering company, providing the finest food and drink to the rich and famous.

His culinary skills and flamboyant presentation style sparked a move into the media side of food and drink.  Incorporating journalism, demonstrations and presentations, Richard is now a fully-fledged broadcaster and chef personality.  His most recent mini series titled 'Fox on The Run' for BBC1 Look North, has just been re-commissioned and he has just won the British Guild of Beer Writers award for food and beer writing.

His passion and dedication to the gastronomic qualities of beer and the success of his Food and Beer Cook Book have resulted in his second book deal focusing on beer with food.  His writing and broadcasting on the subjects of beer and food have arguably made one of the greatest contributions to the rise and recognition of quality beer in this country today.
