KATE LAMONT
Kate Lamont lived in the Swan Valley, just outside Perth for the first 30 years of her life. She discovered a passion for cooking while pursuing a career as a winemaker. In 1989, Kate and sister Fiona opened a restaurant at Lamont's Winery with the support of their parents. With the emphasis on fresh, simple regional food, the restaurant has proved a great and enduring success. In 2000, Kate opened a restaurant on the waterfront in East Perth.Now firmly established as one of Perth's premier restaurants, it has cemented Lamont's position in the forefront of the local food scene. Most recently Kate has ventured south, opening a cellar door and restaurant in the Margaret River region. Kate's love of cooking and serving delicious food is at the very heart of her success. |
